Paula Miller: Quinnipiac Perfection
47-0. That is probably the first thing you should know about this powerhouse of a coach for the Quinnipiac Women’s Tennis team. Paula Miller took over the Quinnipiac tennis program during the 2013-14 season after Mike Quitko stepped down from the position. Miller has some big shoes to fill after Quitko because of the reputation he had built over the years which led to his induction in the Connecticut Tennis Hall of Fame.
A player turned coach, Paula Miller played for Quinnipiac and initially never intended on coaching. She believed Quitko would be there, "forever". But after being part of such a great family, team dynamic, she gave it a shot. At first she coached part-time employment and today she is not only the women's head coach, but she is also is the director of the entire tennis program for Quinnipiac. She leverages her roles to inform and develop the next generation of tennis stars.
Being able to be well rounded in all aspects of the program gives her the knowledge to continue through her winning ways. Just walking into her office with all the trophies behind her is a little intimidating.
