O'Canadaaaaa! Let's talk about how Denis Shapovalov and his comeback. Down 2-5 in the fourth set to Taylor Fritz. Fritz was serving out of his mind! A top speed of 147 mph at one point during the match. I knew he was serving around 140 during his time with Philadelphia Freedoms at World Team Tennis but this was a whole other level.
The other amazing comeback was from Borna Coric against 4 seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas! Just like Shapovalov, Coric was down in the fourth set, 1-5 to be exact, and found another gear to win against Tsitsipas. After waking up to find out Coric won, most headlines read that Tsitsipas collapsed more than Coric came back. YET, there are two ways of looking at this. One, Coric played an unreal match and found himself creating one of the best comebacks in US Open history. Two, Tsitsipas had a total melt down and choked away his lead. What do you guys think?
