King Kyrgios karries on, top American kenin crashes out, andreescu beat again

Not going to lie, today has been kind of crazy. In some of the most interesting turnarounds

, Nick Kyrgios (who hasn't played a match since the Australian Open), found a way to beat fellow young talent, Ugo Humbert. Due to a suspension of play, the two had to finish their match the next day after going deep into the night under the roof. In a thrilling 5 set match, King Kyrgios wins the fifth set 9-7.

Over to the top-seeded American, Sofia Kenin has yet to find her form this year. The farthest she has come this year in the past 5 tournaments, was the fourth round of the French Open. While Brengle has beaten Serena and Petra Kvitova (twice), it seems that Kenin beat herself when she made 41 unforced errors in a match that lasted only 45 minutes... While Brengle will face off against Golubic in the next round, Sofia Kenin will be taking some time off as she announced she will not be participating in this years Olympics (she would have been the highest-ranked American competing in the singles division).

Last but not least, US Open champion, Bianca Andreescu lost her second consecutive matchup to French veteran, Alize Cornet. To be honest, Cornet played almost a perfect match against the Canadian. While she might have lost focus towards the end of the match, Cornet held it together long enough to stop Andreescu's possible comeback.
